The discovery of the vineyard and the tasting in cellar are a stage to be organized by appointment
La Pousse d'Or is located in the Commune of Volnay, between Pommard and Meursault, a few kilometers from Beaune.
The vineyard is composed of 15 hectares, all classified as " Premier Vintage ", that spread among the four communes of Volnay, Corton, Pommard and Santenay.
The production, very variable depending on vintages, reaches an average of 55 000 bottles per year.
| VOLNAY |
Soft and delicate, smooth and refined, wines from Volnay are very drinkable, from the second year of their existence. However, like all wines from Burgundy, they can be left to age as vintages are known to preserve marvelously well beyond ten years of age. |
With its delicate violette scent, the Volnay wine reminds Springtime. After a slow and long evolution, it can reach a richness and an harmony that have nothing to envy the greatest wines from la Côte-de-Nuits. |

SANTENAY |
The Pommard, known world-wide, is a wine full of sap and body with a wonderful vermilion color and a powerful ripe plum bouquet. It was the favorite wine of the " Green Gallant " - Henry the 4th of France - and of the French novelist Victor Hugo. |
With their " rustic " character, wines from Santenay are rich and powerful, but however supple and smooth. They can also well age. |
